Will the nurses from the retirement homes be the groupies?
Seriously though, at first I wasn't sure but depending on the toll this might exist interesting. I judge this is their last hurrah I gauge. Too bad there probably won't exist an accompanying album.

How-do-you-do,
I'grand thinking that they might (they might!!!) gear up a West Coast gear up of stops later on, depending how they feel later on these 15 shows, and how Phil holds up.
But the W Coast, has very limited attraction with expert shows possible in LA, SF and Seattle, merely everything in between is kinda non ... as proficient moneywise, I don't think. Simply the distances and the logistics with those distances make things different ...
Heck, Portland would be good for them, but Portland is not known for doing great/good shows other than the tiptop ten variety as they passed on Return TO FOREVER a few years back that put on a massive show in Eugene instead. AND, they even had Jean Luc Ponty with them ... you got a massive value ... but Portland doesn't care about value ... and the local orchestra can but exercise stuff they tin use Pink Martini on !!!!

I was interested in the O2 London gig. I am not a big fan of after Genesis merely it's a one off. Two tickets are 450! By the time I've had a few drinks and a meal it would be well over 500 quid.
I'chiliad sure there are many fans who will pay that kind of money merely I just couldn't justify that kind of outlay.

Hi,
Unfortunately in the concern of the arts, the price is e'er exorbitant when information technology comes to the really big stars ... you lot could non see Nureyev or Baryshnikov without spending a fortune, and for a long time, Pavarotti could only exercise a few places around the globe where it would sell out immediately regardless of cost.
Sadly, in the rock business, the same thing has taken identify, and many of these bands still call up they can milk the public and so what? Right! I nonetheless think that a streamed show, just available at the time of the bear witness (for example) would sell out iii/4 times as much for half that cost ... but I don't meet these mega bands interested in advancing the technology and manner into a more progressive expanse ... which in many means explains things poetically and conceptually ... they don't "have information technology" anymore, and will rely on their laurels. At least you lot gotta paw it to the Rolling Stones, who are still creating new cloth ... whereas anybody has folded.
I would not even consider seeing any of these monsters. I never did see Genesis, only caught PG on his first tour in the USA ... and it was fine, non bully ... and I recall he was too much into "his songs" ... and I didn't exactly feel they were that keen ... though they were fine and I still take the albums.
The real care for would be if they had the balls to have PG show up for a couple of songs, and that would give the fans a retention worth having in your collage ... but sadly ... for them information technology'due south not nearly the smashing music ... it'due south something else entirely.
At this time and place, in that location are only ii folks I would pay to see ... VdGG and Vangelis. I would have said AD2 but their volition and ring is decimated and they are stuck in a "no rehearsal" kind of thing and at times they just do non audio skillful, and it makes me sad.

[EDIT] At least you gotta hand it to the Rolling Stones, who are even so creating new material ... whereas everyone has folded.
Actually? New Textile? Haven't they taken all their licks from the American blues scene?

Don't have the balls? it doesn't accept balls. What yous are proposing is called 'pandering to the fans', and I have no uncertainty PG is far higher up that. He has his ain vocalism now. If he wanted to retread the 'ol genesis stuff he would, but he doesn't need to. While Steve Hackett chose to become that route, I sort of experience he spent a little
besides much time with information technology. Like Gabriel, he has plenty of solid original cloth to perform.

How-do-you-do,
Not really ... I was more thinking as an involvement that made the show improve, instead of yet some other song, from what many call back is second charge per unit material.
I'm former school ... I thought GENESIS was great until PG left, though they had one more than album that probably was already half written by them anyway ... that showed an interesting prospect ... but that ended right at that place.
PG showing up, would exist a treat ... not exactly a dreamy old story from the past. At the time, I could not even consider GENESIS ... when there were and so many other European groups effectually ... PFM, Aureate Earring, Focus, Kayak, and many others that were getting the chance ... and GENESIS lost information technology for me.

Encarmine hell! 450??!!
I have just paid a couple of hundred quid for 4 tickets to see Hackett (with my son) and Marillion (with my married woman), then worked out at something like fifty a throw, which I can live with.
I love Genesis, and have seen them numerous times since the showtime one at The Lyceum (the one which is on YouTube) just I would never have paid that amount of money fifty-fifty then, let alone when there is a serious doubt as to Phils ability and simply one drummer.

[EDIT] At to the lowest degree you lot gotta paw information technology to the Rolling Stones, who are still creating new cloth ... whereas everyone has folded.
Really? New Material? Oasis't they taken all their licks from the American dejection scene?
The real treat would be if they had the balls to have PG show upwardly for a couple of songs, and that would give the fans a memory worth having in your collage ... but sadly ... for them it's non about the neat music ... information technology's something else entirely.

Fifty-fifty though I am going to run across Hackett (run across above post) I really absolutely agree with this extremely wise post.
