I tried a couple of type C adapters, and both work.

I got ahold of an Apple USB-C cablevision and it worked on my Z Strength, so I'd say it's a pretty skillful bet for the Play too.

I accept bought the OTG-USB from Anker (USB-C to USB 3.0).

I cannot notice a music player that does. Delight post yours that does play through OTG.
Did you try the integrated music thespian of Total Commander? Information technology should do. Currently do not take my OTG handy, if it's complicated for y'all I tin can endeavor somewhen the adjacent days.

Full C and it's plugin have to create a dup of the file you want to transport to a player. Pretty nonfunctional for quarter to i GB music file. File Commander just links the file, instant thespian transfer.

Well, Poweramp is challenge to back up any phone for native DAC abilities. They have a request forum. I posted a thread in Q & A. The latest version volition browse our OTG only merely uses our DAC to 44k. Ours is capable of 192k. USB audio does apply our DAC fully but no OTG and no plans to exercise so.

If you tolerate 44k get Poweramp.

I don't have a USB-C OTG cable, only if y'all printing and concord both the share + ps buttons while the controller is in standby information technology turns on BT.
And so on your telephone become to the bluetooth card and connect and it works wireless. Why use OTG when yous can use wireless :p

Send to a player? What are you lot talking virtually? I meant the integrated thespian of TC, not sending to a histrion. Just tested it out: long select a file, press play, and it instantly plays. I'm quite sure in that location is no limit. Select some music, add together it to the TC player queue, I'k quite sure it will piece of work.

Using TC while browsing OTG:

When I select a flac file(bitrate 192k) and ask TC to open equally audio, information technology makes a copy in internal memory. I would then play it with https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/themes/music-players-ane-standout-dac-to-192k-t3533577 .

I did not endeavor information technology's internal player as it would use the DAC of our phone at 44k bitrate, standard CD quality.

My concern is music played from OTG. I did non attempt it but I think it would need to duplicate the file fifty-fifty when playing from it's internal player

I did not try it'southward internal player equally it would utilise the DAC of our phone at 44k bitrate, standard CD quality.
Did non know that other behavior is possible. For me playing at a college rate than CD volition brand no deviation, my ears are not that practiced.
My business concern is music played from OTG. I did non endeavor it merely I remember it would need to duplicate the file even when playing from it's internal actor
Don't recollect and so. It should merely play. Of grade it volition employ some buffer for playing, merely you shouldn't notice that.

My recommendation was "endeavour TC with internal role player". That requirement with more than than 44 kHz came after. You wrote "TC does not work, but I didn't try the internal player." Gauge I'g out of hither now. Good luck!
